Doesn't the Wright smear remind you of the one used by the NAZI party?
Back in the 1930s, the German people elected Hitler because of a smear done by the NAZI party. NAZIs set fire to the Parliament building and put the body of a dead Communist in the building, accusing the Communist Party of having set the fire. The NAZIs were losing the election, and they only won because of this smear. Likewise, the Wright smear attempts to portray Wright as a hatemonger by reducing more than 30 years of his work into a couple of 30 second soundbyte that preach sufferings of blacks and wrongdoings of whites and America. This is not accpetable. Have we not learned from history? Even more recently, McCain lost in 2000 due to smears and Kerry lost in 2004 due to smears. All three instances, the people were fooled by smears and elected the wrong candidate: Hitler in the 1930s, Bush in 2000 and 2004. If you want to really know Wright's character, find out for yourself, don't judge by two 30 second soundbytes. Will we never learn from history and repeat the same mistakes?
