Would a doctor give me a hysterectomy?

I am 38 yrs old and have 5 wonderful children. A year and a half ago I had my tubes tied so there is now way to have anymore children. Ever since I had my tubes tied my cramps are ten time worse. I really just want to have a hysterectomy and be done with the whole period thing for good. I know it will put me into an early menopause but Im ok with that. Do you think if I ask my doctor he will give me a hysterectomy?
