Will diet pills counteract with a prescription of metformin?

I recently purchased those Mega T green tea dietary supplement to suppress hunger and give me a little energy. I'm not expecting much from them but I have drank green tea and felt like I could take on the whole world and when I seen it in a capsule I impulsed bought them. (not expensive at all!) But I just got a prescription of metformin and am scared to take them because I can't find anywhere that sais it will or won't counteract my prescription. please help!
